I was first exposed to the Vegas Young Professionals at a Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce New Member Breakfast. I didn't know it at the time, but seated next to me was VYP Superwoman, Joanna Rodriguez. Joanna explained the benefits of VYP, how it's an extension of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce and she strong-armed me suggested I join.

Over the next two years, I've been introduced to some people I now consider my great friends. Friends that I'll stay in touch for a long, long time. I get along real well with them because it just seems that the people I've met through VYP have a great combination of when to work, and when to play.

I'm a firm believer in business networking as I like to get to know people before I do business with them. VYP Fusion Mixers are a great combination of a relaxed social scene, and business networking that allow that to happen. When I look around the Fusion Mixers, I see a constant flow of introductions being made, people laughing and passing business cards. Combine this with getting access some of the newest hot-spots into town and you've got a great night with some great people.

I was flattered when I was asked to be Chairman of this great organization. VYP has done so much for me and my business, I'm so happy I get a chance to give back and get more people involved in more events.

2010 is upon us, and we know there's no easy way out of this economy. However, we're all in this together. The only way we're going to get through this is to rely on each others' business advice, services and support to help us run our businesses more efficiently and effectively... and it won't hurt to have a little fun along the way.
